The easiest way to read the battery status is to look at the percentage display: either directly on the TFT color display or - on models with a segment display - in the VMAX CONNECT app. However, the percentage display is only a support in all models: the more correct and accurate display is the current battery voltage in volts (V).

This is the value that the electronics read directly from the battery and with which the scooter actually operates. The display in percent is only a conversion of the current voltage so that the value is easier to understand and can be interpreted without further calculation.

The indicated voltage is the nominal voltage: this is - rounded - the voltage that is present when the battery is approximately half charged. The lower limit is also the emergency shutdown of the BMS and is just above the technical minimum. The BMS wants to prevent a deep discharge at all costs, as a deep discharge is equivalent to long-term damage. This point differs depending on the model.

As soon as the battery delivers higher currents, the voltage immediately drops slightly. During driving, the voltage therefore fluctuates permanently. The calculation of the percentage display therefore does not react to even the smallest voltage change, but averages the fluctuations. This is why the scooter initially remains at 100%, even if you have already ridden a few kilometers, and then decreases in larger steps.
