In this guide, we'll show you, step by step, how to change the tire on your VMAXVX2 EXTREME E-Scooter VX2 EXTREME .
Tools Required
- Tire-changing levers (2 pieces)
- Tire Mounting Paste
- Compressor
- Optional: Cable ties (3 pieces)
Instructions
Prepare the bike
Depending on whether you want to change the front or rear tire, first review the instructions for removing the corresponding wheel.
Next, take the motor or wheel and place it on a stable surface or carefully secure it in place. Be careful not to damage either the axle or the cable outlet.
Prepare the tires and let the air out
Generously apply mounting compound to the tire and completely deflate it.
Removing the Tire from the Rim

Carefully place the tire lever against the tire and work your way around it bit by bit until the tire is loose from the rim.
Clean the rim and prepare the new tire
If necessary, clean the inside of the rim and reapply mounting compound to both the rim and the new tire.
Install New Tires

Use the tire levers to mount the new tire back onto the rim.
Tip: If you secure one side of the tire with 3 cable ties, it will be much easier to pry the tire onto the rim.
Inflating and Cleaning Tires
Inflate the tire to about 3 bar using an air compressor. Then, if necessary, let some air out to adjust the pressure to the optimal level.
Then remove all traces of the assembly paste.
Check the result
After assembly, check that the tire is seated correctly on the rim and is inflated evenly. Check the tire pressure and make sure the wheel spins freely.
Frequently Asked Questions
Here you'll find answers to frequently asked questions about this repair.
Why is it so hard to install the tire?
This is normal for tubeless tires. Use enough mounting paste and work step by step with the tire levers.
What should the tire pressure be?
As a general guideline, you can inflate the tire to about 3 bar. Adjust the pressure based on how the bike feels and how you're using it.
What should I do if the tire isn't seated properly on the rim?
Inflate the tire slightly again and check that it fits properly. If necessary, let some air out and reposition the tire using mounting paste.
