In this step-by-step guide, we show you how to replace the rear blinker on your VMAX e-scooter VX2 PRO yourself.
Tools required
- Phillips screwdriver
- Allen key 2.5 mm
- Open-end wrench
- Scissors
- Heat-shrink tubing (alternatively insulating tape)
- Hot air dryer or lighter
- Optional: spray adhesive or hot glue
- Optional: Thread
Instructions
Open the front maintenance flap

Replacing your rear indicators starts at the front of the scooter. The plug connection for your indicators is located behind the front maintenance flap.
Open the maintenance flap to access the plug connection.
Disconnect the blinker plug connection
It is best to compare the cable with that of your replacement blinker. Cut open the heat-shrink tubing and disconnect your blinker.
It is best to tie a piece of thread to the plug so that you can pull it back through the frame more easily later.
Remove the engine cover on the affected side

Now remove your engine cover on the relevant side.
To do this, first pull the rubber plugs out of the cover and then loosen the screws with an Allen key.
Pull out the cover and indicators
You can now pull the cover together with the blinker out of the scooter.
Loosen the thread immediately and leave it in the scooter for the time being.
Unscrew the blinker
Now unscrew the blinker.
If the adhesive of the threadlocker causes you problems, first heat it carefully with a hot air gun.
Insert the new blinker and pull the cable through
As soon as you have inserted the new blinker, you can attach the thread to the plug of the new blinker and pull it forwards through the frame.
Connect the indicators and refit everything
Then refit all the elements at the rear of your scooter.
Before attaching the new blinker, pull the heat-shrink tubing over the cable. If you use insulating tape instead, your scooter's resistance to water may be reduced.
Reattach the rubber mat if necessary
If your rubber mat no longer holds onto the maintenance flap after assembly, reattach it with some spray adhesive.
Check the result
After reassembly, check that the new rear blinker is connected correctly and works properly. Also check that the motor cover, the rubber plugs and the maintenance flap are firmly in place.
Frequently asked questions
Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about this repair.
Why does the replacement of the rear blinker start at the front of the scooter?
Because the plug connection for the rear indicators is located behind the front maintenance flap. You have to disconnect the cable there before you can remove the rear blinker.
What do I need the thread for when removing?
The thread helps you to pull the new cable through the frame to the front more easily later. This makes installation much easier.
Can I use insulating tape instead of heat-shrink tubing?
Yes, this is generally possible. However, this can reduce your scooter's resistance to water. Heat-shrink tubing is therefore the better solution.
