Tools needed
- Allen wrench 2,5 mm
- Allen wrench 3 mm
- Allen wrench 5 mm
- small Phillips screwdriver
- new display cover
Instructions
Loosen the right-hand side of the steering column

To remove the display cover, first slide both decorative tubes to the left and right of the display mount to the side.
To do this, loosen the switches for the turn signal and brake lever on the right side. You don't need to remove the screws completely. Just loosen them enough so that you can slide the components along the handlebar.
Move components to the right

Carefully slide the removed parts to the side to create more space around the display mount.
Prepare the left side of the handlebars

There's a little less space on the left side of the handlebars. To make enough room, start with the turn signal, unscrew it, and pull it off the end of the handlebar.
Release the thumb throttle and brake lever

Next, move the plastic grip slightly outward, then release the throttle and brake levers.
Unscrew the display cover

All four screws on the display cover are now exposed. Carefully loosen them using the appropriate tool.
Install the new display cover

Insert the new display cover and secure it with screws. Then reinstall all the components you previously removed, in the reverse order.
Check the result
After reassembly, check that the display cover is properly seated and securely fastened. Also check that the turn signals, brake lever, and thumb throttle are correctly positioned and securely fastened.
Frequently Asked Questions
Here you'll find answers to frequently asked questions about this repair.
Do I have to remove all the screws to move the handlebar components?
No. Usually, it is enough to loosen the screws just enough so that the components can be carefully moved along the handlebars.
What should I do if I don't have enough space on the left side?
First, unscrew the turn signal at the end of the handlebar and remove it. Then you can gently move the grip outward to create more space for the next steps.
What should you do if the new screen protector doesn't fit properly?
Check that the cover is properly aligned and that all four screws have been tightened evenly. Do not tighten the screws on one side only, so that the cover sits flush.
