Loosen the left-hand controls

To remove the display cover, first slide the decorative tubes on the left and right sides of the display mount to the side.

To do this, loosen the brake lever on the left side. You don't need to remove the screws completely—just loosen them enough so that the components can be moved along the handlebars.

Loosen the right-hand controls

Next, loosen the thumb throttle and the brake lever on the right side so that you can move the components there as well.

Expose the display cover

Now slide the trim tubes and the detached controls to the side until all four screws on the display cover are visible.

Remove the display cover

Install the new display cover

Remove the old cover and install the new display cover.

Screw the cover back on tightly, and then return all the controls and trim tubes to their original positions.
