Then, open the service hatch in the footboard.
Disconnect electrical connections
First, disconnect the cable from the electronics to the battery.
Then, gently pull apart the connectors of the wiring harness.
Tip:
Take a photo of the wiring before unplugging the cables. This way, you'll know which connector goes where during reassembly.
Loosen side cover
Use a 3.5 mm Allen key to loosen the two screws on either side of the footrest.
Additionally, remove the screws under the footrest with a Phillips screwdriver.
Disconnect turn signal and charging socket
Carefully loosen the rubber deck at the edge of the footrest.
Then, pull out the side cover.
Disconnect the connectors from both turn signals and from the charging socket.
Disconnect motor cable

Disconnect the motor cable and gently pull it towards the electronics.
Remove the controller
Loosen the two nuts on the side of the electronics that secure the controller.
Then, carefully take the controller out of the housing.
Install new controller
Insert the new controller into the housing and position it correctly.
Then, secure it again with the two nuts.
Reconnect cable connections
Now reconnect all previously disconnected cables.
This includes connectors for:
- Motor
- Turn signals
- Charging socket
- Wiring harness
- Battery connection
Ensure that all connectors are fully inserted.
Perform functional check
Before you fully close the e-scooter again, perform a functional check.
Turn on the e-scooter and check the following functions:
- Throttle
- Taillight
- Left and right turn signals
- Motor function
If everything works correctly, you can begin reassembling.
Reassemble the e-scooter
First, reattach the side cover on the right side of the vehicle.
Then, close the service hatch with the six 2.5 mm Allen screws.
Then, position the rubber deck correctly on the footboard again.
If necessary, you can use some spray adhesive or suitable glue to securely attach the rubber deck again.
