Remove the cover under the display

The wiring for your handlebar assembly is hidden inside the front bar. To access the relevant cables, first remove the cover beneath your display.

Loosen the clamp securing the handlebar

Next, loosen the clamp on the handlebar so you can access the connectors.

Disconnect the connectors

Here you can see the connectors that link the display to the individual controls and the scooter's electronics. Disconnect the appropriate connectors for the affected component.

To ensure that you can route the cable neatly back inside the handlebar later, loosen all the components on the corresponding side of the handlebar.

Loosen the clamping screw on the handlebar

You'll find a clamping screw on the underside of each handlebar. Loosen it to remove the controls or the turn signal from the handlebar.

Install new components and insulate connections

Before attaching new components, prepare the heat-shrink tubing if necessary and slide it over the connectors.

Then reattach all the components to the handlebars and insulate the connectors with heat-shrink tubing or electrical tape.

Reinstall the handlebar and cover

Now reattach the handlebar under the steering head, and reinstall the headlight cover and the headlight itself.

When assembling the unit, make sure that all screws are tightened properly and that no cables are pinched or damaged.

Check the result

After assembly, check that all controls are properly secured and that the turn signals are working correctly. Pay special attention to ensuring that the cables are routed safely, that the connectors are secure, and that the controls are firmly attached to the handlebars.
