Your parcel has just arrived!

We're just as pleased as you are. But before you get started, there are a few important things to consider:

  1. Tire pressure

During the time in the box, the tires may have lost some pressure. Riding with too little pressure can cause a lot of damage to the scooter, as an important task of the tires is to cushion the scooter.
Therefore, be sure to pump up both tires before your first ride. Depending on the weight of the rider, the tire pressure should be between 2.5 and 3.0 bar.

  2. Drum brake

The mechanical drum brake of the scooter must be adjusted to your weight before riding.
To do this, turn the adjustment wheel at the bottom of the Bowden cable either a little further up (the brake will then grip more firmly) or down (the brake will then grip more gently).

  3. Disc brake

The VX2 Hub is equipped with a mechanical disc brake on the rear wheel. Before your first ride, you should check that the brake runs freely and grips evenly.
    ATTENTION:
    • You may hear slight noises when braking for the first time - the brake has to grind in first. This is completely normal and nothing to worry about.
    • The brake disk can become hot while riding. Please do not touch it immediately after use.

  4. Recuperation brake

The electric motor brake is a recuperation brake. When the scooter is switched off or the motor is running at low speed, there is only a very low braking force here, and the recuperation brake is controlled by both brake levers.

  5. App connections

The app provides you with lots of useful information about your scooter and helps you to plan your tours, including charging stops, in advance. The app is purely optional and not essential for using the scooter.
To connect your scooter to your cell phone via Bluetooth, you need the VMAX E-SCOOTER app (available for iOS and Android).

  6. Pin lock

All information on how to lock your scooter with a password or change the PIN can be found in our video:

  7. Kickstart or Zerostart

This is what we call the two start modes of the scooter. We recommend Kickstart, especially for inexperienced riders. In this mode, the scooter does not start when you simply press the throttle; instead, the scooter must already be rolling. In this mode, you start off as if you were riding a scooter and only operate the throttle when you are already rolling and both feet are securely on the footboard. In zero start, the scooter starts from a standstill. As the drive comes from the rear wheel, the front wheel can rise into the air if you have your weight on the back of the scooter. To switch between the two modes, you can simply go to your app and switch them in the dashboard.

  8. Automatic light

mode Press and hold the light button on the scooter for approx. 2 seconds to activate the automatic light mode. The light then switches on or off automatically - depending on the ambient brightness - and the brightness of the display is also adjusted automatically. The whole thing is controlled via the integrated light sensor below the display. If you switch the light on manually via the app switch on or off, the automatic light function on the scooter must be deactivated.

  9. USB port on the steering bridge

Your VX2 Hub offers you the option of charging your cell phone while riding so that you can use the navigation system even on long tours. A USB-C port is installed below the left-hand control unit for this purpose. To use this connection, plug the cable and your cell phone into your scooter when it is switched off and only then switch your scooter on. This is the only way to activate the power supply to the port.
