Your package just arrived!

We're just as excited as you are. But before you get started, there are a few important things to keep in mind:

  1. Tire pressure

While the scooter was in the box, the tires may have lost some air pressure. Riding with insufficient tire pressure can cause a variety of problems with the scooter, since one of the tire’s key functions is to provide suspension for the scooter.
Be sure to inflate both tires before your first ride. Depending on the rider's weight, the tire pressure should be between 2.5 and 3.0 bar.

  2. drum brake

It is essential to adjust the scooter's mechanical drum brake to your weight before riding.
To do this, turn the adjustment wheel at the bottom of the Bowden cable either slightly further up (the brake will then engage more firmly) or down (the brake will then engage more gently).

  3. Regenerative brake

The electric motor brake is a regenerative brake. When the scooter is turned off or the motor is running at low speed, the braking force is very low.
For example, to prevent it from rolling away on a slope, always use the left Combined brake.

  4. App Connections

The app provides you with a wealth of useful information about your scooter and helps you plan your trips in advance, including charging stops. Please note that the app is purely optional and is not required to use the scooter.
To connect your scooter to your phone via Bluetooth, you'll need the VMAX E-SCOOTER (available for iOS and Android).

  5. PIN lock

You can find all the information you need on how to lock your scooter with a password or change the PIN in our video:

  6. Kickstart or Zerostart

This is how we refer to the scooter’s two starting modes. We recommend the kickstart mode especially for inexperienced riders. In this mode, the scooter won’t start if you simply twist the throttle; instead, the scooter must already be rolling. In this mode, you start off as if you were riding a kick scooter and only apply the throttle once you’re already rolling and both feet are securely on the footboard.
With a zero-start, the scooter moves forward from a standstill. Since the drive comes from the rear wheel, the front wheel may lift off the ground if you shift your weight to the back of the scooter.
Kickstart is enabled by default. If you prefer to start from a standstill, you can switch to Zerostart in the VMAX E-SCOOTER .

  7. Automatic lighting

Press and hold the light button on the scooter for about 2 seconds to activate the automatic light feature. The light will then turn on or off automatically—depending on the ambient light—and the display brightness will also adjust automatically.
The entire system is controlled by the built-in light sensor located below the display.
If you want to turn the light on or off manually using the app, the automatic light feature on the scooter must be turned off.

  8. USB port on the handlebar

Your VX2 Gear lets you charge your phone while riding, so you can use the navigation system even on long trips. A USB-C port is located below the left control unit. To use this port, connect the cable and your phone to your scooter while the scooter is turned off, and then turn on the scooter. This is the only way to activate the power supply to the port.
