What does the error mean?

Error 23 indicates an error in the control of the motor. Possible causes are defects in the motor or - more rarely - in the electronics.

How can the fault be rectified?

The first step is to check the plug connection between the electronics and the motor. This may have become loose and needs to be reconnected. Also check whether there is any damage to the cable.
