Before starting, make sure your VMAX e-scooter is turned off. Work on a stable surface and have all tools ready at hand.

Remove the front axle cover

Remove the front axle cover of the VX5 PRO behind the reflectors

To disassemble the front wheel of your scooter, the first step is to remove the front axle cover.

This is screwed behind the reflectors.

Remove side fork covers

Remove side cover of the fork on the VX5 PRO

The two sides are screwed together at the top end of the fork.

You can then remove both sides.

Disconnect the drum brake cable

Loosen the drum brake cable on the VX5 PRO

Next, disconnect the drum brake cable.

Fully loosen the nut for this.

Loosen the fixation and axle nuts

Loosen the fixation of the drum brake on the VX5 PRO

Now you also need to loosen the fixation of the drum brake.

Remove axle nuts and take out the wheel

Loosen the axle nuts of the front wheel on the VX5 PRO

Then loosen the two nuts on the axle.

Now you have the wheel in your hand and can either replace it with a new complete wheel or exchange individual parts like the tire or bearings.

When reassembling, make sure all screws fit correctly and that no components are loose. Pay particular attention to the axle nuts, the fixation of the drum brake, and the properly hooked drum brake cable.

Check result

After reassembly, check if the front wheel is correctly installed and can rotate freely. Pay special attention to the tight fit of the axle, the function of the drum brake, and whether all cover parts are securely attached again.
