If you want to realign the front wheel of your scooter with the handlebars, you must first locate the clamping device on the handlebars.

Before loosening the screws, briefly check how much the handlebars are currently twisted.

2

Loosen both bolts

Use a 5 mm Allen key to loosen both bolts on the handlebar clamp.

The bolts do not have to be removed completely. It is sufficient if the handlebars can be freely aligned.

3

Align the handlebars straight

It is best to hold the front tire between your feet and carefully turn the handlebars to the desired position until the handlebars and front wheel are properly aligned again.

4

Tighten the clamp again

Then tighten the two bolts on the clamping device evenly again.

Make sure that the handlebars remain straight while you tighten the bolts.

When reassembling, make sure that all screws are correctly seated and that no cables are pinched or damaged.

Check the result

After reassembly, check that the handlebars and front wheel are straight again. Also check that the clamp is tight and that the handlebars can no longer be twisted.

After the repair, test your VMAX e-scooter carefully when stationary or on a short route before using it normally again in everyday life.

Frequently asked questions

Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about this repair.

What do I do if the handlebars twist again after a short time?

Check whether the two screws on the clamping device have been tightened evenly and firmly. If the problem persists, the clamping should be checked more closely.

Do I have to unscrew the bolts completely?

No, it is usually sufficient to loosen the bolts just enough to align the handlebars.

Can I continue riding with crooked handlebars?

We advise against this. Misaligned handlebars can impair the riding experience and control. Align it correctly before your next ride.
