  • 5 mm Allen wrench
  • 21 mm wrench or socket
  • New brake disc
Before you begin, make sure your VMAX E-Scooter is E-Scooter . Work on a stable surface and have all your tools within easy reach.

Loosen the brake cable

Loosen the brake cable using a 5 mm Allen wrench

First, loosen the brake cable using a 5 mm Allen wrench.

Remove the side covers

Remove the side covers of the VMAX e-scooter using a 3 mm Allen wrench

Remove both side covers. To do this, use a 3 mm Allen wrench to loosen the 3 screws on each side.

Be sure to set the screws aside neatly so that nothing gets lost during reassembly.

Disconnect the engine cables

Unplug the engine cable on the right side when facing the direction of travel

Now disconnect the motor. The cable is located under the cover on the right side when facing the direction of travel.

Take careful note of how the cables are routed so that you can reconnect the motor cable correctly later.

Loosen and remove the engine

Loosen the motor using a 21 mm wrench

Loosen the engine mounts on both sides using a 21 mm wrench or a 21 mm socket. Then remove the safety bolts on both sides using a 3 mm Allen wrench.

Once everything is loosened, you can carefully remove the engine from the body.

Remove the old brake disc

Remove the brake disc from the removed engine using a 3 mm Allen wrench

Loosen the 6 screws securing the brake disc to the motor using a 3 mm Allen wrench.

Next, remove the old brake disc.

Install a new brake disc

Attach the new brake disc to the engine

Install the new brake disc and secure it to the engine using the same 6 bolts.

Make sure the brake disc is seated properly and that all bolts are tightened evenly.

Reinstall the engine

Reinstall the engine into the body and secure it

Carefully reinstall the engine into the body. First, tighten the safety screws with the 3 mm Allen wrench.

Then reattach the 21 mm nuts and tighten them securely.

Connect the motor

Reconnect the motor cable

Reconnect the motor cable and make sure the connection is secure.

Adjust the brakes

Adjust the brakes

Use the 5 mm Allen wrench to properly adjust the brake again via the brake cable.

Install the side covers

Reattach the side covers on the left and right

Finally, reattach the left and right side covers using the 6 screws (3 per side) and the 3 mm Allen wrench.

When assembling the unit, make sure that all screws are tightened properly and that no cables are pinched or damaged.

Check the result

After assembly, check that the brake disc is securely mounted, the motor is properly seated, and the brake cable is correctly adjusted. Carefully turn the wheel by hand and check that the brake operates smoothly, without any grinding or binding.
