Your scooter is at its best when it is cleaned regularly. To avoid damaging it, we have collected a few tips and tricks for you here. In addition, always follow the instructions in your scooter manual.
Before you start, disconnect your scooter from the power supply, switch it off and carefully close the charging socket. Never use a garden hose or high-pressure cleaner!
- A bucket of warm water and a sponge are sufficient for basic cleaning of the scooter. Add a splash of detergent and you have everything you need.
But be careful here: The moving parts of the scooter are lubricated - a degreasing agent is out of place here!
- Make sure that no water gets on electrical components or connections - to clean these, please use either a compressed air gun or a brush
- The display can be damaged by both cleaning agents and coarse sponges - it is best to use a dry microfiber cloth
- Make sure that no products containing lubricants get on your brakes or tires to ensure optimum braking performance.
- Cleaning the scooter is an excellent opportunity to check all parts of the scooter for damage. In particular, strong vibrations while riding can cause bolted connections to come loose - if you notice anything here, avoid riding at all costs until all connections are tight.
