The vehicle identification number (VIN) is a unique number assigned to your scooter. On most models, you will find it on the front right-hand side of the footboard of the scooter. Older models have the serial number together with the type designation on the underside of the scooter.
In the event of theft, the police and possibly your insurance company will ask you for the serial number. It is therefore essential that you make a note of your serial number after purchase and put the note in a safe place.
